Description

Weathertex highly recommends the use of a cavity fixing system to provide the best protection for your wall against condensation problems such as mould, timber rot, corrosion and loss of thermal resistance. The Weathertex-endorsed cavity fixing system incorporates cavity battens over a breather membrane, acting as a physical barrier between the studs and the Weathertex cladding, allowing for the controlled escape of vapour from within the building whilst restricting the ingress of liquid moisture.

Providing separation between the vapour permeable membrane on the wall frame and external cladding, cavity battens are an integral component of the cavity fixing system. They should be fixed to each stud using galvanised nails, with a 5-10mm gap between butt joints.

When installing Weathertex weatherboards, cavity battens must be installed onto all studs. When installing Weathertex architectural panels, cavity battens must be installed onto all studs and noggings, ensuring a 20mm gap is left between nogging battens and stud battens to allow for drainage of any potential moisture.

Perth inner metro: $149 + GST standard rate. Suburbs more than 30km from Perth may incur extra charges. We’ll call you if anything’s needed beyond what was selected at checkout.

On-site assistance: Orders over 400KG require a forklift or men on site to unload. Without assistance, the driver may take the goods back or unload at their discretion. Loose sheets and small orders may incur a $50 + GST split fee (we waive it where possible).

No deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.

Faulty or damaged products. Notify us within 10 days of delivery for a full refund (including delivery charge) or a replacement. We arrange collection at our expense.

No longer required. Return within 14 days for a refund less a 25% restocking fee. You cover the return delivery (usually the same as your original delivery charge). Powders cannot be returned due to storage requirements.

Product variation. Timber profiles and MDF can vary slightly from listed sizes. Insulation supply shortages may mean a substitute product (always Australian Standard compliant). Plasterboard, fibre cement, and steel framing sizes are stable.

As we work with Warehousing staff, only a ref number is needed for customers to give at pickup. Order will be loaded via forklift for all customers in a hassle free manner.
